Lawrence introduces McKinley climate fellow to develop urban forestry master plan

The chair said Lawrence is one of four Indiana communities awarded the McKinley climate fellowship this summer, along with Richmond, Evansville and Dearborn County. Stout will work with a task force and is expected to deliver an urban forestry master plan by the end of the summer. The chair announced three workshops to develop the plan, the first scheduled next Tuesday at Jen Park Pavilion.
The fellowship is framed as a community planning and climate-resilience effort; the board’s announcement did not include funding details or a schedule beyond the workshop start date.
