Lincoln County board approves routine items, personnel hires and ratifies student expulsion

The board scheduled a brief call-in meeting for a budget vote on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. and asked staff to notify trustees who may be out of the country.
After a closed executive session, the superintendent recommended that the board ratify the expulsion of “Student A” in accordance with West Virginia Code 18A-5-1A, 61-7-2 and West Virginia Department of Education policy 4373. The motion to expel was moved and seconded and carried on recorded affirmative votes by the members present.
