"They would provide $333,000 and that would be a 30-year lease advanced payment," Gustoff said, noting the county board was slated to consider the agreement and staff recommended council adoption.
Council moved to adopt the resolution approving the funding and lease agreement. The motion passed 4–0 with one absence.
Why it matters: the Scouts Cabin (built in the 1940s) has not been substantially renovated in decades; county funding reduces the city's upfront cost and secures a county office in the downtown building. City staff will oversee renovation design and maintenance obligations described in the agreement.
