Nicole (district staff) explained that the state’s per‑student allocation changes the district’s planning: “students who have not passed IREAD will be the priority for summer school,” and that per‑student rates will determine which programs can run. The board approved summer‑school staffing by voice vote (motion seconded and carried five to zero).
What happens next: staff will return with detailed per‑student numbers and specific staffing allocations at the next meeting and proceed to enroll and notify families for the approved courses.
