Commission approves two‑lot subdivision for 291 Sagan Road

The South Fayette Township Planning Commission recommended approval of S‑07‑2025, a preliminary and final minor subdivision splitting a parcel at 291 Sagan Road into two lots, during its Oct. 23 meeting.
A representative from Plum Surveying explained the plan: lot one will be vacant land and lot two will retain existing structures; a remainder piece across Sagan Road will stay associated with parcel two. Staff and the county had submitted review comments; the applicant revised plans and provided clarifications requested by township staff.
The sanitary authority had no substantive objections but noted standard service conditions for any future lot development. Commissioners moved and seconded to recommend approval in accordance with the township GTE review letter dated Oct. 9, 2025, and the Allegheny County letter dated Sept. 30, 2025. The motion carried on a voice vote.
Staff additionally reported one late application (McCracken lot consolidation on Boxwood) received the same day; the commission authorized staff to accept and queue that application for the December meeting rather than convene a special November meeting for acceptance only.
