Far West council updates on stop sign, grants and Far West Landing development

The speaker said the funding will be used to hire a consultant to update the city's general plan.
Far West Landing and commercial development: The council said the Far West Landing plat and participation agreements were recorded and roadwork has started under contractor EK Bailey. The council reported that Target has reached out to the city and is preparing permits; if site work proceeds on schedule, construction could begin as early as September with a possible opening target of October 2027. Council members also said they have had exploratory discussions with other national retailers.
The council indicated it will prepare public informational material to keep residents updated about the construction activity and timelines.
