Council approves agritourism license for Pappy's Pocket Cattle and a Subway ownership transfer; one application tabled

Pappy's Pocket Cattle: Applicant Lacy Papageorge described a small agritourism business that would offer visits to a working dairy, short "Highland hangouts" with a micro mini Highland bull named Harry and occasional photo sessions. "My name is Lacy Papageorge and I live at 1616 Far West Drive," she told the council, describing tours she has run informally for years. She said she plans to limit groups to "10 to 12 people max" and to have visitors park on the property so cars do not block neighboring streets. Council members said the activity fits the city's agritourism chapter but that Lacy should submit the narrative and plan documents required under the agribusiness code. The council approved the business license (motion by Tim; second by Katie).
Subway #14596: Jay Shadari introduced himself as the new owner of the Subway at 1800 West, 2700 North and said he is finalizing health and licensing paperwork. He said he previously took over multiple locations in the region and looks forward to operating in Far West. The council approved the change of ownership and issued the business license for the new owner.
Mechem Industries LLC: The applicants for Mechem Industries LLC (Eric and Preston Mechem) were not present. Council members agreed to table the application until they can appear to answer questions (motion by Tim; second by David).
The council asked staff to follow up with planning on information required for agritourism permits and requested confirmation on camera repairs at Mountain View Park that were charged in this week's bills.
