Bolton Veterans Commission approves minutes, confirms 2026 meeting dates and discusses state statute implications

John Hambrook moved to approve the dates and Paul Toomey seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Under old business the commission reviewed Connecticut Public Act 25-168, citing sections 233, 240 and 241, and noted the need to consider the fiscal impact of any changes to local tax law. The minutes state the last modification affecting this area occurred decades ago; no fiscal figures or decisions were recorded.
Under "Other," members revisited prior discussion about turning the green into a memorial and directed buildings and grounds staff to review options and help define a design concept.
