Oakmont Greek Church seeks lot‑line change and proposes new chapel; county review pending
Summary
The commission accepted the Oakmont Greek Church lot‑line revision (application 20252) as complete and reviewed a related land‑development package (20253) for a new chapel. The commission cannot recommend final approval until county review comments are returned; applicants were asked to return next month.

Representatives for Oakmont Greek Church presented two related submissions: application 20252, a lot‑line revision acquiring property from the adjacent Elks Lodge, and application 20253, a land‑development package showing a proposed chapel addition.
Chair Jamie Joyce explained the lot‑line revision involves property being acquired from the Elks Lodge on Washington Avenue; borough staff said the county review is still outstanding and the Planning Commission cannot recommend final approval until county remarks are received. The commission accepted application 20252 as complete, which starts a 60‑day window for a recommendation to council.
A Card Gray representative described the proposed addition as a new chapel and showed how the revised lot line makes the drawings consistent with the requested setbacks and prior variance. The representative noted work to relocate utilities behind the building and that the developer will provide a cost estimate and any required developer agreement language. Jake Leland said the borough engineer’s recent comments have been addressed on the drawings.
Commissioners agreed the applicants should return on a future agenda after the county completes its review; no final approval or council recommendation was made tonight.
