Board authorizes chair to sign tentative budgets for six community facilities districts, sets June 25 public hearings

The board voted unanimously to authorize the chair to sign resolutions adopting tentative budgets for six community facilities districts and to provide notice of public hearings on June 25, 2026.

Miss Morris presented the item, saying assessed limited values have risen for most properties while the levy (tax rate) has fallen in all CFDs except Stone Ridge, where an expired lease that previously subsidized debt service has kept the levy from decreasing. She explained the office calculates average change per property using actual property values and noted when debt service ends in each district. Miss Morris said Southside’s charges are assessment-based rather than ad valorem taxes and currently cover four remaining properties. She summarized the Entertainment Center CFD as covering capital improvement projects and operating costs offset by event revenues and town contributions.

Following the presentation the board moved through six resolutions, each authorizing the chair to sign a tentative budget and to set a public hearing for June 25, 2026. Those items and the resolutions recorded in the meeting record were:

Miss Morris had noted Stone Ridge’s levy did not fall because a lease that formerly subsidized debt service expired. • Resolution No. 2026-49 — Southside Community Facilities District tentative budget for fiscal year 2026–27 (second recorded; clerk called the vote; passed unanimously). Miss Morris said Southside is billed by assessment and has four properties remaining.
