The Select Board on April 28 approved a change of manager for 190 Octane Patriot Place LLC (doing business as Fat Tuesday), moving the manager of record from Vincent George Scoffield to Derek (name appears as Thomasson and Tomlinson in the meeting record).
Tom Miller, counsel for the licensee, told the board that the establishment has identified and vetted Derek to serve as manager of record and said Derek has been with the company since December and holds TIP certification. "I've been in the industry for a little over 20 years," Derek said, describing restaurant and management experience including prior ownership of a local restaurant.
Board members pressed counsel on why there had been a prolonged gap without a manager of record and whether the town should have been notified sooner. Counsel said an application had been filed and withdrawn during the search for a candidate and apologized for not communicating more proactively with the town during the interim. The board approved the manager change by voice vote.
