An attorney appearing by video described the transaction as corporate and not operationally significant. "This is a corporate transaction and not one that's going to change anything operationally at the lency," the attorney said, adding that the change reflects Isaac Chhatika replacing Lori (ownership interest relinquished) and that the store itself will continue to operate as before.
The board opened a public hearing on the application, allowed questions, closed the hearing, and approved the change of ownership interest by voice vote. The attorney told the board that LLH LLC holds Trader Joe’s liquor licenses across Massachusetts and that the shift of ownership interest affects the holding entity, not the store’s day-to-day operations.
No members of the public objected during the hearing and no conditions were recorded as part of the approval.
