The Property Management Committee approved a request from the Milton Ladies Society to install an electrical pedestal and restore meter service at the Milton ballfield the group leases from the county.
Candy Thompson of the Milton Ladies Society said the group has already removed dilapidated structures, arranged for Middle Tennessee Electric to evaluate the site and has raised $20,000 for a children's playground; tonight—s request was permission to install a pedestal and reconnect utility service to support more events.
Commissioners confirmed the society will pay for the work and that lease terms cover county liability; the committee approved the request by roll call.
Staff said minor improvements and small maintenance items can be approved administratively through the mayor—s office going forward, while major permanent projects should return to the full commission as required by policy.
