Mr. Grant, presenting for the Office of Operations, said the administration recommended approval of the transfer and reported a total appraised value of $51,500 for the property. "The administration so recommends," Mr. Grant stated before the board moved, seconded and approved the transfer without recorded objections.
Board members did not raise substantive amendments or conditions during the public motion; the transfer was approved as presented. The administration stated the property will be used to widen Lower Richland Boulevard, a project described as county transportation work.
The board’s vote followed an executive session in which land transfer items were listed on the closed agenda. The board made the approval in public session and recorded the motion as unanimous.
