The Princeton Zoning Board on May 13 approved an applicant request to extend the time to complete a previously permitted minor site plan for the Tower Club at 13 Prospect Avenue. Staff noted the April 2025 memorialized site plan included a D4 floor‑area ratio variance and C1/C2 bulk variances for coverage and setbacks. The applicants asked for an additional year to complete construction to coincide with the university summer break and with two‑year site plan vesting.
Ryan Kennedy, attorney for the applicant, told the board the elevator and related work require coordination with the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and local permitting; the team requested an extra year “out of abundance of caution” should permit timing or unforeseen delays affect mobilization. Taylor Gribbons confirmed no underlying zoning changes and recommended the board allow the extension. The public comment period produced no speakers and the board approved by roll call.
The extension aligns the permit schedule with the anticipated start of work during the summer months and defers any further permit‑compliance review to the town's building and engineering departments. The board did not specify an exact end date beyond recommending completion before the start of the 2026–27 school year unless further action is taken.
