"The IT director wrote that $6,000 would be enough to do whatever needed to be done to improve the quality of that broadcast," a staff member told the council.
Council members raised questions about the specific outcomes they wanted — better camera control, ease of use for operators, and overall audio-visual quality — and staff said they would seek affordable camera equipment that could be integrated with existing control-room hardware. The clerk announced the vote results: eight yeses, zero nos, one absent.
The amendment was approved as a small, targeted investment; staff said they would return to council if costs exceed the approved amount.
