The Jefferson County Public Defender Board met May 6 in person and by Teams and approved its Feb. 4, 2026 meeting minutes.
Devon Sharpe, the county’s chief public defender, presented the minutes; Robert Barlow moved to approve, Robert Little seconded, and the motion was unanimously approved by the board members present. The board also recorded an approved renewal of Devon Sharpe’s term as Chief Public Defender, extending the term to Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2029, as noted in the minutes.
Board membership on the record for the meeting included Heather Foy (County Executive appointment), Robert Barlow (judicial appointment), and Robert Little (commission appointment, serving as chair). The meeting minutes state the next meeting will be Aug. 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., to be held by Teams or in person. The minutes were prepared by Devon Sharpe.
