Board members characterized the submission as anonymous hearsay and said there was insufficient evidence to identify and pursue enforcement against an individual. Rather than request police action based on the anonymous report, the board agreed to send a polite, general advisory to the Sandy Beach association (and potentially post a notice on the town website) reminding beach users to use facilities and keep the beach tidy.
Board members acknowledged anonymous complaints are sometimes unverified and may be attempts to stir controversy, but agreed a non‑punitive public reminder about proper use of sandy‑beach facilities was appropriate. No formal citation or enforcement action was taken at the meeting; the board discussed but did not pursue asking police to trace the vehicle, citing lack of direct evidence.
The board also discussed other routine business during the meeting, including upcoming flu clinic tentative kickoff dates (Oct. 14, Oct. 18 and Oct. 20) announced by the public‑health nurse, and approved the meeting minutes from Aug. 12, 2025.
