The Verona Planning Board on June 26 carried a scheduled hearing on a tree-removal application (Application 202502) for property identified as Block 1712, Lot 1 to its July 24, 2025 meeting at 7:30 p.m.; the meeting record indicates no new public notice will be required.
The meeting, held at the Verona Community Center, opened with roll call and the pledge of allegiance. During roll call, the board confirmed attendance from Chair Pearson; Vice Chair Freshy; Mayor Tambboro; Councilman Roman; Manager O Sullivan; board attorney Miss Sarah; Mrs. Parker; Mr. Passa; Mr. Lily; Mr. Heman; Mr. Moody; and others. DD Carpinelli introduced herself as the new board secretary, saying, “I am here. And this is the new board secretary DD Carpinelli. And third times the charm.”
The board opened a public-participation period but recorded no speakers before closing that portion of the meeting. A member moved to approve the minutes from the May 22 meeting; the motion was seconded by Mr. Kamoodi and the minutes were approved by voice vote with no recorded objections or abstentions.
Under new business the agenda listed Planning Board Application 202502 (described in the meeting as “One Wedge With Drive, Block 1712, Lot 1”). The application hearing for tree removal was carried to the planning board’s July 24, 2025 meeting at 7:30 p.m.; the board indicated that no additional public notice is required for that hearing. The meeting record does not identify the individual who made or seconded the procedural action to carry the hearing.
A motion to adjourn was made and seconded by Mr. Lily and the board adjourned amid applause. The July 24 hearing will be the next opportunity for a substantive hearing on Application 202502.
