Mayor Foster and Township Administrator Chris Trebini emphasized the committee’s goal of “getting out into the community” so residents could meet staff and ask questions. Trebini introduced attending departmental leaders, including municipal clerk Wendy Petrovich, Captain Jeff Aerson of the police command staff, Chief Financial Officer Bill Antonies, Department of Public Works Director Brian Engles, Recreation Director Robert Ward, Tax Collector Jill Stone, IT Director Jason W., Tax Assessor Eric Aguar and Public Information Officer Brian Ali.
Officials announced a $75,000 grant from the New Jersey Historic Trust to support planning for Robert Wilson Park; the funds will be used to develop a strategic plan for park preservation and interpretation. Mayor Foster thanked residents and named contributors who helped secure the award.
Public‑safety and service updates included October outreach efforts (National Crime Prevention Month, pedestrian‑safety awareness and Cybersecurity Awareness Month), a fire‑department open house Oct. 5 at the Crawford’s Corner Road station and a DPW leaf‑collection schedule for November and December. The fire department also requested junk‑car donations for vehicle‑extraction training.
The committee reported progress on a utility company upgrade on South Holland Road: after township discussion and outreach involving Assemblywoman Vicky Flynn, the company revised plans so trees would not be removed. Officials also said the Homeell Senior Center will receive cosmetic upgrades including new flooring and kitchen renovations.
The meeting concluded with an extended public‑comment period during which residents raised recreational, traffic and preservation issues; committee members remained after adjournment to speak with attendees.
