The Foxborough Select Board on March 18 ratified collective bargaining agreements with the United Steelworkers AFL‑CIO CLC for Unit A and Unit B.
The board said the agreements include a 3% increase in FY26 with additional increases in subsequent years, the addition of a step at year 20, and new longevity pay steps at years 20 and 25. The contracts also cap tuition reimbursement at $22,000 with a clawback provision if an employee leaves after receiving reimbursement. Holiday pay will be paid based on an employee’s actual scheduled hours, the board said.
Board members voted on each unit separately and approved both motions by voice vote. The board described the changes as targeted updates to longevity and benefit language rather than sweeping contract revisions.
The motions were presented and carried during a public session immediately after an executive session in which the board said it reviewed union negotiation strategy. The Select Board did not provide individual vote tallies in the record beyond a unanimous voice vote reported at the meeting’s conclusion.
