Commission approves replacement of city and police server licenses

Staff said the state contract saved the city money and the selected vendor will bring both licenses to supported status through at least 2029.
Commissioners discussed state purchasing programs and the advantages of 'piggybacking' on statewide contracts to secure better pricing. The commission approved the purchase by motion and roll call.
Next steps: staff will complete procurement with the awarded vendor and schedule installation and license activation.
