Coach Michelle Star and students from Spring Hill School presented the Divas Running Club to the Roselle School District 12 Board of Education at the start of the meeting. The club's purpose, Star said, is to promote "girl empowerment, positivity, being a good role model while we exercise and work our way to be able to run a 5K."
Several students spoke to the board in short remarks: a fourth‑grader, Cambria, said she enjoys running and getting exercise and hopes to run marathons when she is older; other students described building confidence, making friends and getting stronger. Board members thanked the students and presented them with a small gift on behalf of the board and administration.
The presentation was part of the routine student‑ambassador segment the district runs during board meetings to highlight school clubs and student achievements.
