Jamie Kerr presented a child nutrition update and the committee recommended the Kings Mountain High School cafeteria table replacement at a low-bid amount of $85,883.31; the committee recommended those projects move to the full board for approval.
The board took the three items in one vote and approved them unanimously. The American Legion World Series steering committee also presented a request to turf a baseball field, with the ALWS proposing to cover the project's cost; the committee supported continuing discussions and scheduled a follow-up meeting to flesh out collaboration and stadium enhancements.
The bids approved will move forward to contracting according to district procurement procedures; the district did not provide a detailed contract timeline in the meeting record.
