Event permits: The board issued a special events permit (pending departmental approval and payment of fees) for Walk for the Homeless, applicant Reverend Daniel Bernier, on May 17, 2026 from 1:00–3:00 p.m., including temporary sign placement and a fee waiver request. The board also approved a special events permit for the Harvest Triathlon hosted by Max Performance (Tim Richmond) on June 7, 2026 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for use of town roads for the cycling portion of the race; the applicant thanked departments that support the event (police, fire, harbormaster, EMS, DPW).
Donations: The board accepted several donations to the Wareham Council on Aging (anonymous $7; anonymous $200; $100 from Roberta Boone) and a $9,000 gift from the Friends of the Wareham Free Library to purchase books, materials and technology for the library. All donations were accepted by roll-call vote.
