Council members said the 38th Street precedent demonstrated time and cost savings and improved durability when the base is properly reconstructed with nuclear-density testing and compaction verification.
Council accepted the committee recommendation and directed staff to prepare procurement and contract documents for the WSB approach and bring them back for council consideration; the motion passed 8-0.
