The Bolton Heritage Farm Commission discussed plans for a memorial bench to honor Hope Grunski after meeting with resident Joe Grunski about placement, security and design.
At the Aug. 4 meeting, Commissioner Rhea Klein (acting in discussion) reported that the family prefers a wrought‑iron bench roughly eight feet long and would like a plaque. The committee agreed that a town contact identified as Tom would provide photo suggestions and visit the proposed site to assess anchoring and placement.
The bench proposal arose during the correspondence portion of the agenda after the clerk flagged the item for the commission. No formal vote on installation, funding or final placement was recorded in the minutes.
Next steps noted by the commission include receiving Tom’s photos and site assessment; the matter is expected to return to the commission for further review once those items are available.
