Waterbury board hears staff report on Allstar Transportation; company representatives absent

The department said the contract would be funded from the education general fund and run July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2031.
Allstar representatives were not present. A department official offered to represent Allstar during negotiations and said the company had been "easy to work with," noting past cooperation and that the district had not experienced driver or vehicle shortages in recent years. Several commissioners spoke in favor of Allstar based on long-term experience and personal observations.
