Griffin honors wastewater operator Jenna Evans and proclaims Retired Educators Day

Lewis said Evans, who has been with the department three years, stepped into the lab-manager duties for a period to maintain the industrial pre-treatment program and ensured compliance while staff shortages persisted. Evans accepted congratulations and thanked attendees.
The board also presented a proclamation designating Nov. 3, 2024 as Retired Educators Day in Griffin, citing the governor's statewide proclamation and noting the volunteer contributions of retired educators; Anne Clark accepted the proclamation and thanked the board.
