QCSD outlines Eastmark and Crismon summer projects; parking, locker rooms and drainage work planned

Amber Bordes presented the district’s construction update, describing three projects slated for completion or work during summer 2026.
For Eastmark, staff said one of the last parking lots near the gym field has begun construction with an expected completion date in July 2026; funding comes from the Schools Facilities Division and remaining new school construction dollars. At Eastmark High School staff also described recent PE academic space additions and the district’s plan to add additional locker rooms and bathrooms to complete the PE area, with the goal that these rooms be ready for students in July 2026.
At Crismon High School, Bordes reported recurring drainage issues on the multipurpose field and track. Under warranty, the district will work with the contractor this summer to install a French drain system, add pressure regulators at irrigation valves for more even water distribution, and continue track drainage mitigation; track resurfacing was completed during spring break.
Board members asked clarifying questions; Bordes said the Crismon repairs are warranty work and will be at no cost to the district.
