The Hollis Select Board approved routine minutes, amended a fee schedule and formed a five-member committee to advise on the Bar Mills decommissioning study during its July 2 meeting.
The board moved to approve the minutes from May 21 and June 4; members present voted in favor (one member abstained where noted). The board also voted to amend policy number 10 to correct the code enforcement officer fence fee after a brief motion and second.
On the Bar Mills decommissioning matter, the board appointed four volunteer members (Paul Matau, Terry Walters, Jim Bootin and Renee Lewis) and added Select Board member Dan Yurumian as the town's representative. The appointments carry terms expiring June 30, 2026, and the motion passed unanimously.
Finance and operations reports noted warrant totals (last week $49,188; this week $66,400) and payroll (last week $41,793; this week $43,275). The board also listed purchase orders including summer program costs and fire department equipment testing.
Town announcements: the new curbside trash and recycling vendor, Melon and Sun Disposal, began service July 1; crews will run two trucks (trash and recycling) and begin collections at 6 a.m. Residents were reminded to place trash in containers or bins to avoid loose trash on roadways. The municipal town complex will be closed to the public on July 28 for paving work.
What comes next: the board asked staff to prepare appointment paperwork and to confirm any outstanding vacancies for the planning board and finance committee.
