"Tonight basically we're looking for you guys to adopt the amended budget and have a roll call vote and then close the budget hearing," the staff member said. Council members moved, seconded and voted in favor; the presenter then closed the hearing.
Why it matters: the equipment reserve fund is used to plan and pay for capital equipment purchases across departments. Staff cited compliance with state public‑notice requirements and asked the council to adopt the amendment so staff can proceed with planned acquisitions.
