Devine council adopts resolution to pursue Texas Parks & Wildlife local park grant

The action followed a public hearing on park improvements called at 5:45 p.m. Angela Sifuentes of Langford presented the grant application process to the council by teleconference; no members of the public offered comments during the hearing, which closed at 5:52 p.m.
On a motion by Alderman Josh Ritchey, seconded by Alderwoman Debbie Randall, the council adopted the resolution unanimously. The resolution certifies the permanent public park and recreational uses required by the grant program and names the official authorized to act on the city's behalf with Texas Parks & Wildlife.
Next steps include preparing the grant application and following the Department's schedule and requirements as outlined by Langford's presentation.
