The resolution text directs town officials to file the certified resolution with the New York State Department of Transportation and related offices as needed and states the measure takes effect immediately.
Board members conducted a roll-call vote on the adoption resolution. The roll call recorded the following votes in favor: Fano (yes), Bobche (yes), Okmoody (yes), Guerrero (yes) and Rizzo (yes). The public hearing on the draft local law was opened earlier in the meeting and closed with no public speakers on the record.
The text of Local Law D amends the town zoning code (chapter 100, section 100-8) to add a definition for crematories and to prohibit such facilities within the town limits. The resolution includes standard implementation language authorizing the town supervisor and designated municipal officers to execute agreements and certifications necessary to implement the project and to file required documents with appropriate state agencies.
The adoption ends the formal local-law process initiated on Aug. 20, 2025, and the board’s action will be reflected in the town code once the signed resolution and attached schedule are filed and posted.
