Edgewood Farm plat dedicates right‑of‑way to Versailles for planned roundabout

Staff presented a cleanup major plat for the eastern portion of Edgewood Farm that creates three lots and establishes right‑of‑way for a future roundabout at the Paddock/Edgewood intersection.

"Some of this property will be going to the city of Versailles so they can start their road project," staff said, describing a contractual requirement for the city to build another roundabout leg similar to one previously constructed nearby.

The plat also corrects a deed provision that described ownership extending to the center of the road; staff said the plat stops deeded ownership at the current right‑of‑way edge to clarify that the roadway is a county road and to dedicate the new right‑of‑way to be conveyed to the city.

Commissioners had questions about whether the new road could eventually connect to Payne’s Mill and higher‑elevation parcels; staff said conceptual plans show potential future connections, subject to floodplain and design constraints. The commission approved the major plat for 43.06 acres.
