Glencoe honors public‑safety unit and regional task force for multi‑jurisdiction burglary case

At the May 21 meeting Public Safety Director Sean Lan presented a unit commendation recognizing Glencoe officers and regional detectives who participated in a multi‑agency burglary task force operation conducted May 1. Lan described a prolonged surveillance that tracked suspects through multiple municipalities and culminated in arrests after coordinated efforts including drones, K9s and a police helicopter.
President Rowan presented certificates to the named officers and to members of the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force (NORTAF). On behalf of the board he said: “We thank and congratulate the terrific Glencoe public safety officers and the NORTAF team for helping keep us safe.”
