Select Board approves Daily Brew’s entertainment and victualer licenses with midnight hours

The Select Board voted unanimously April 28 to grant McGanton Circle LLC (doing business as Daily Brew) an entertainment license and a common victualer license for the Silver Lounge location at 412 North Falmouth Highway.

Attorney Kevin Clower represented the applicants and said the business will be a breakfast and lunch‑focused coffee shop with occasional evening events and one‑to‑two indoor musicians. Clower said the Katama Daily Brew location will close and operations will move to the North Falmouth site; the applicants requested indoor entertainment only and a seven‑day entertainment license to allow occasional evening functions.

Board members questioned parking capacity and how evening events would be managed. Staff and the applicant said the site has roughly 80 parking spaces and that seating/occupancy—and therefore parking requirements—are set through the building department and occupancy calculations. Neighbors, including Nancy Weiner and Patrick Bennett, expressed support for preserving the Silver Lounge space but asked the applicants to coordinate for large events and to avoid unplanned outdoor amplification.

Because of inconsistencies in the license paperwork and questions about hours, the board amended the entertainment license hours to 10:00 a.m.–midnight Monday through Saturday and 11:00 a.m.–midnight Sunday before approving the entertainment and common victualer licenses. The board also approved the common victualer license for Morning/early evening service (application lists 6:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. as general hours). The applicant said most day‑to‑day activity will be morning and early afternoon, with evening events occasional and by reservation.
