Adam McLam told council a concept for a public‑works complex of roughly 32,000 square feet (office, shop bays and site work) came to an approximate $21 million estimate in current pricing; staff said the figure includes vertical construction, site grading and materials and that estimated costs rise by approximately $1 million for each year of delay. "If you were to build the facility today ... you're looking at about 21 plus million to build about 32,000 square feet," McLam said.
On stormwater, Todd Huntinger reported the Bow Brook project closed with a final request to cover unforeseen quantity increases in stone and related items because portions of the roadway lacked underlying base stone. Council approved an additional $17,855.72 to close the final invoice for that contract.
Staff also recommended amending an ARPA‑funded consultant contract to finish design work, easement plats, permitting and oversight for a set of stream‑bank restorations and small remediation projects across town. Council voted unanimously to approve the request as presented and instructed staff to return for construction funding once projects are bid.
McLam said staff will present a financial model in July–August so council can decide whether and how to pursue the public‑works facility.
