The Il Valley Central USD 321 board spent part of its May meeting recognizing students who competed at the 2A state track meet.
A presenter reviewed individual and relay results for teams from Mossville/Moscow and other district schools, noting a sixth-place medal in the 4x100 relay (time 55.1 seconds), a sixth-place discus finish, multiple school records broken and strong personal-best performances. The presenter singled out several athletes by name and event and noted a freshman who reached state finals and others who posted times that ranked nationally for their grade.
Board members and those in attendance applauded the athletes. The board distributed certificates and took group photos to mark the recognition.
The recognition was ceremonial; no policy decisions related to athletics were made during that agenda item.
