Tinicum supervisors approve seal-coat contract and several administrative measures; meetings continued

Tinicum Township supervisors voted to award the township's annual seal-coat contract to AMS and approved a slate of routine fiscal and administrative items at their June meeting.
Matt Overbeck, introduced by the board as the township's new director of public works, said the seal-coat project drew two bids; AMS submitted the low bid at $157 per square yard (down from $166 per square yard the prior year) and Overbeck stated a total project cost of $12,342. A motion to accept AMS as the low bidder was made, seconded and approved without recorded opposition.
The board also approved the treasurer's report, payroll and the list of disbursements for April and May after staff confirmed follow-up on several escrow disbursement questions. Terry, who reviewed the draft 2023 audit, said the audit was still under review and that staff would meet with auditors before finalizing the document.
Supervisors authorized execution of a stormwater operations and maintenance agreement and a recorded resource-protection easement for a driveway and associated stormwater facility at a property on Stage Coach Road owned by Mr. and Mrs. Schwarz. Township engineer Kurt Jenner described that the agreement is a standard requirement when new impervious surfaces trigger stormwater facilities under the township ordinance.
The board approved a resolution to adopt the MissionSquare 457 governmental deferred-compensation plan and the attendant administrative-services agreement after staff clarified that investment choices are offered as a fixed menu by the plan administrator and that plan-administration fees are deducted from invested funds.
Several agenda items were continued to allow additional review: two planning items were moved to the July 2 meeting for a Bucks County Planning Commission report, and three pending zoning-hearing matters were deferred with a continuation of the meeting scheduled for Monday, June 10 at 9:00 a.m.
The board's routine approvals and the seal-coat award are effective immediately; no amended motions or recorded roll-call tallies were provided in the meeting record.
