Redwood County board adopts $19.146 million property tax levy for 2025

The levy resolution, adopted by roll-call vote with Commissioners Groebner, Salfer, Van Hee, Wakefield and Theis voting aye, specifies allocations to multiple county funds: Revenue Fund $9,494,500; Human Services $3,381,816; Public Health $235,231; Road and Bridge $3,588,132; Building Fund $250,000; Debt Service $1,973,884; Regional Library $109,323; and EDA $113,154.
Auditor-Treasurer Jean Price and County Administrator Vicki Kletscher presented the levy paperwork and noted the EDA line item had been added to the document without changing the overall final levy. The board acknowledged the edited version as the adopted resolution.
The board also approved a $29,874 transfer from the General Fund to the Human Services Fund to cover Redwood County’s contribution to the Southwestern Minnesota Adult Mental Health Consortium; the transfer was authorized during the same meeting.
What happens next: The levy will be certified to the Redwood County Auditor-Treasurer and used in property tax calculations for 2025. No additional board action on the levy was indicated at the meeting.
