The board recognized the district’s 2026 employees of the year across categories. Dr. Nick Stephanie (assistant superintendent of human resources) and Superintendent Dr. Nicole Wesley led the presentations.
Lindsay Glick, a special-day-class teacher at Adams Middle School, was named teacher of the year for her dedication to students with special needs and for receiving a Sulpa CAC award. Glick thanked colleagues and families in brief remarks.
The district also honored certificated support staff member Nicole Verusk, classified employee June (Jun) Kapon for long service as an athletic trainer at RUHS, CDC teacher Patricia Moreno and administrators Brian Stanley and Eileen Lechenby for leadership and service. Dr. Stephanie noted the contributions of labor partners and the district leadership team in supporting employees.
Board members and awardees offered short remarks of appreciation and recognition; the item was presented as a ceremonial recognition with no board action required.
