At a glance: Ennis commission ratifies emergency sewer repair, accepts Murphy Oil easement, extends QUIP administration contract

Emergency wastewater repair (Item F1): The commission ratified a $93,252.61 emergency repair to a 14‑inch wastewater force main performed by D and S Field Services LLC near 801 South Jeter Drive. Staff said the easement will allow the city to relocate the water line along Laurel Street to avoid conflict with the storm drain and that further easements may be requested as final alignments are determined.

HQIS contract modification (Item H1): After returning from executive session, the commission approved a temporary modification to the existing HQIS agreement for QUIP administration services to run through Aug. 31, 2025, at a rate of $3,000 per month per facility with no quarterly payment, and authorized the mayor to execute necessary documents.
