The Yelm City Council unanimously confirmed four appointments submitted by Mayor Joe DePinto at its May 26 meeting, approving nominees to advisory commissions and committees by voice votes.
Council member Arias moved to confirm Katie Holstein to the Arts Commission; Council member Kaminski seconded and the motion carried after a brief question from Council member Richardson about the currency of some application materials. Council member Harris moved to confirm Amy Hutchens to the lodging tax advisory committee; that motion was seconded by Councilor Johnson and carried by voice vote. The council also approved Jordan Werner for the Parks Advisory Committee and Riley Heulen for the Planning Commission, each motion seconded and approved.
The confirmations followed procedural motions taken under new business; in each case the council recorded voice approvals rather than a roll-call tally. Mayor Joe DePinto thanked the nominees for agreeing to serve.
