Cheryl Dudley identified herself as a Stone Mountain resident and said Stone Mountain Park will be operated by Stone Mountain Hospitality LLC, a division of Aramark Sports Hospitality, beginning June 1. She told the council the change could modernize the park and bring restaurants and jobs downtown.
Other residents raised routine municipal concerns including potholes on neighborhood roads, a bridge closure affecting traffic, worries about air traffic and sleep disruption, and requests for the city to pursue clarity on bank/accounting issues tied to a former mayor. Beverly Howard Patterson specifically pressed staff on the visitor center budget and questioned whether a $50,000 allocation had been correctly moved into a business account.
Council did not take action on the public comments during the meeting but moved on to the evening’s agenda items. Several residents explicitly asked for follow-up or for posted materials to be made accessible on the city website.
