Cortland council approves YMCA Turkey Trot permit and accepts $115,000 park donation

Separately, the council accepted donations to the Cortland Youth Bureau listed in the meeting packet: $200 from Dennis Gage for the youth lacrosse program and a $115,000 gift from the Yamon Foundation earmarked for Yamon Park upgrades. Council members publicly thanked the donors and appropriated the funds to the budget accounts listed in the packet.
Councilors also reported that two developers and one local agency remain engaged on potential redevelopment plans for Parker School; committee review and community meetings were described as the next steps if formal offers arrive.
All actions were approved by roll call with council members recorded in favor.
