Johnson said the policy is being moved to an appendix for now to keep the core guidance clearly tied to personnel policy while giving the social-media procedures their own space for eventual standalone policy status. She said the city is working to standardize workflows for approval and to reduce risks of accidental personal-posting from staff-managed accounts.
The council approved the policy by voice vote.
