Officials noted the scope of standards required ongoing documentation and that accreditation applies equally to sworn and reserve officers, increasing the administrative footprint. The Chief described accreditation as a validation of the department’s commitment to best practices, transparency, and continuous improvement.
The department displayed its accreditation plaque and invited the board to take a commemorative photo; officials urged the public to see a cable access segment with coverage of the accreditation and department highlights.
