Police announce verified resident access to Revolution Way on event days

The Foxborough Police Chief announced on Nov. 4 that town leadership and the Kraft Group have agreed on a plan to allow Foxborough residents with verified credentials access to Revolution Way on game and event days.

Speaking during citizens input, the Chief said the agreement came after collaborative discussions between the Foxborough Police Department, town leadership, and the Kraft Group and emphasized preservation of neighborhood quality of life while addressing safety and logistics. "Residents will be allowed to access the Revolution Way on game day or event day," the Chief said, adding that permit language needs clarification — for example, whether vehicles will be allowed — and that a verification process, oversight, and strict enforcement will be part of the rollout.

Residents will be notified directly about the implementation timeline, the Chief said; no firm start date was provided, and the speaker noted the program will take time to roll out. The Chief stressed access is intended for residents only and that the town will communicate steps to ensure the program is successful and sustainable.

During public comment, resident Nancy Shown of 20 Capone Road thanked officials and urged targeted checks at several local access points, saying the problem could be addressed by buttoning down three choke points: North, Payson and Dexter. "I just want to say thank you so much for... doing this for us," she said, and urged officials to focus enforcement where residents actually enter on game days.

What comes next: Town staff will finalize verification and enforcement details and provide direct communication to residents about credentialing and operational rules.
