Marist developer says Big Station Camp will proceed in phases; intends to reimburse city legal bills

Patrick Poole, the lead developer for the Big Station Camp mixed-use project (Marist), briefed the committee May 12 on project timing and financing. Poole said the team is exploring a phased approach to advance an initial phase now and use an infrastructure-development district (IDD) tool, if needed, for later phases.
Poole told the council Marist will honor IDD timelines and is open to returning for further approvals if future phases need the IDD. On legal fees related to the project review, Poole said Marist intends to reimburse the city for invoices received to date and is awaiting any final outstanding invoices for payment.
The update was informational; council members asked about the IDD time limits and whether Marist plans to resubmit the IDD for future phases if the tool is not used now. Poole said the company expects to comply with IDD deadlines and will seek additional approvals for later phases as necessary.
